Other nearby National Trust properties include Lacock Abbey which can be reached within half an hour.

Castle Combe, often named as the ‘prettiest village in England’ is a 20 minute drive away and Westonbirt, The National Arboretum, is about 30 minutes away.

The neighbouring village of Doynton is home to The Cross House – an amazing country pub, serving classic pub food with a twist. Little Nannie’s Café at Feltham Farm in Hinton is also definitely worth a visit – not least because their cakes are delicious!
